Hygiene -
Aluminum Alloy Can require anodizing for its safe and hygienic use. The anodizing film wears out within a short period and the can requires to be anodized again, which is never done. Such cans are hazardous to human health due to aluminum contamination into milk.

Stainless Steel Can does not require anodizing or any other coating. Their surfaces have been polished to endure long life for storage of milk in safe and hygienic way.

Corrosion -
Pitting marks and pin holes due to corrosion of material.


Extremely resistant to corrosion. No pitting or pin holes. Life long smooth surface.


Maintenance -
Aluminum Can require regular maintenance i.e. handle repairing, bottom ring repairing, leakage repairing etc. which costs amount Rs. 100 to . 150 per year per can.

Thermal conductivity -
Aluminum being a good conductor of heat the milk stored in it gains temperature faster. Thus the raw milk, during transportation gets heated up faster and sourage increases.

Thermal conductivity of S.S. is eight times lower than aluminum. Thus the temperature of milk stored in S.S. Can shall not increase rapidly & sourage will be much lower in Sumo S.S. Can in comparison to that in aluminum.

Smell -
Imparts bad smell to milk even after cleaning/ Washing.

Sumo Cans are free from any bad smell.

Cleaning -
After use of few days, inside surface of Aluminum Alloy Cans get rough due to corrosion and pin holes. Hygienic cleaning of rough surface is not easy as compared to S.S. Cans.

Due to smooth surface, S.S. Cans are easy to clean Hygienically. The washing solution, be it acidic or alkaline, dose not effect the super smooth interior surface. Easy and fast cleaning saves the washing chemical, man hours and money.

Strength & Durability -
Opening and closing of lid is the main headache in Aluminum Alloy Cans. The lids get wobbled and disfigured very soon.
