Why should I use Stainless Steel SUMOCAN? What shall I
gain from it?
Just think about those very regular problems you encounter from
milk cans made of conventional materials like Aluminum, mild steel
& plastic. broken handles, broken bottom rings, wobbled lids,,
rusted and dented interior surface and not to forget the amount
of expenditure you incur to get them repaired Above these-, they
also result in bad (inefficient) cleaning and thus milk stored
in them gets stinking odor and higher microbial load and increases
probability of milk sourage.
On
the oilier hand, SUMOCANs are free of all such problems. They
keep milk cooler and prevent sourage. They are designed to give
long life services with zero maintenance.
In
short, with SUMOCANs you will gain by avoiding loss due to sourage
of milk, less maintenance cost, less cost for cleaning chemicals,
less cleaning time, less steam consumption loss, higher inventory
of milk can, less replenishing period, less replenishing cost
and most important - you will get clean, good quality milk.
Who are using it?
It is being used by scores of dairies and milk collection networks
in India and abroad in there Endeavor to procure high quality
raw milk for getting best quality in their products. The list
includes many big names in India. It was also approved by National
Dairy Development Board, Anand for Kiriya Milk Industries - their
venture in Sri Lanka. For further details please refer our customer
list.
What is the material of construction of SUMOCAN? Is it
food gradable?
The material of construction for SUMOCAN is pure non-magnetic
austenitic stainless steel of ANSI-200 series. Indian Stainless
Steel Development Association, New Delhi, has certified this series
for Food Gradebility.
Is SUMOCAN subscribing to any standards?
The SUMOCAN, with respect to all parameters is well recognized
by all its user dairies.
Since
SUMOCANs are a new innovation in its product category as on now
there are no standards available to subscribe. To facilitate compatibility
with other products, it takes into consideration the dimensional
requirements of aluminum alloy milk cans through IS: 1825-1983
of Bureau of Indian Standards. As mentioned in the above query,
the product has been approved by NDDB of their venture in Sri
Lanka.
Till date why only Aluminum Alloy cans were available?
Why not Stainless Steel?
As material of construction of milk cans Aluminum Alloy was introduced
decades ago on account of the following reasons:
Cheap
availability of Aluminum at that time.
Lack of technical know-how of economizing high quality fabrication
of Stainless Steel.
Lack of awareness about Public Health Hazards of Aluminum.
But now, with burgeoning technological knowledge and price parity
Stainless Steel has been brought within the purview of its eager
consumers. SUMOCANs are manufactured with the latest technology
and with it's quality being constantly upgraded, they have proved
to be the best available milk can in the world.
How will SUMOCAN improve milk quality?
The major attribute with Stainless Steel SUMOCAN is it's superior
Cleanability and Sanitation efficiency. The graph shown below
clearly conveys that the cleanability of Stainless Steel is at
par with that of glass and is much better than other conventional
materials like aluminum, plastic etc.
Better
cleaning would mean lower load of micro-organisms on it's surfaces.
The Rinse Test report of SMC College of Daily Science along with
their photographs very effectively conveys this fact.
More
over, SUMOCANs keep milk cooler in comparison to that of Aluminum
Alloy cans (Test Report of Indian Institute of Packaging - Mumbai).
This fine attribute shall help you to curb the milk sourage problem
you face especially in summer.Thus,
with cooler milk and lower microbial load, every drop of milk
stored or transported in SUMOCAN remains of superior quality.
Is there any need to change any of the present operational
parameters of milk can handling to use SUMOCAN in place of other
conventional milk cans?
No. There is no need to change any of the present operational
parameters of milk can handling.
SUMOCANs
are manufactured in accordance with the dimensional requirements
of IS: 1825-1983 of Bureau of Indian Standards. Washing it can
be manual, rotary or straight through using the same detergents
used for other can handling. In fact, SUMOCANs will give better
efficiency with your existing system at lower operating cost.
Is it possible to make permanent marking of our company's
name and logo?
Yes, any detail you wish could be embedded permanently on the
outer surface of the can. This is done by a special electrolytic
technique and it comes to you free of cost
Is SUMOCAN resistant to stress and strain of Rural Milk transportation?
Definitely Yes.
Our cans have proved to be the best among all other available
alternative types of milk cans. Various Test Reports (esp. that
of Indian Institute of Packaging - Mumbai: Strength to weight
ratio of Stainless Steel is 4400 while that of Aluminum is mere
2200) and Field Trail Reports of several user dairies clearly
appreciate this fact.
Most
important is that even after considerably long years of service
it will not require any sort of maintenance. SUMOCANs shall never
give any problem of lid wobbling, breakage of handle or bottom
ring or any such problem regularly encountered with other type
of milk can. These cans are designed to be technologically superior.
The material of construction of bottom ring is of double strength
to that of can body and it has been provided with a "smart"
grove to impart elastic effect for greater stress resistance.
Are the lids interchangeable?
Yes. All & lids and the neck of the can, irrespective of the
can capacity, are of compatible dimensions and design, Thus each
SUMOCAN lid is interchangeable with any other SUMOCAN irrespective
of the capacity of the can.
Is the welding enough strong?
Yes. All the joints are welded using the latest technology of
Argon Arc TIG welding. This work is undertaken by specially trained
people to deliver high effectiveness. For sure, these welding
shall never give any problem through out life of the can.
Will the milk kept in SUMOCAN get heated up faster than that kept
in Aluminum Alloy can?
No., The tests conduced at Indian institute of Packaging, Mumbai
very clearly prove that for an increase of 3 Dec. centigrade (from
15 to 18 deg.) milk kept in SUMOCAN took 57 minutes. While the
same milk in Aluminum Alloy can took 43 minutes. I.e. 14 minutes
less. This difference of 14 minutes clearly indicate that milk
shall remain cooler in SUMOCAN than in Aluminum Alloy can.
What is the serviceability and reparability of SUMOCAN?
SUMOCANs come with full one-year guarantee against any manufacturing
defect. Any can found defective and reported to us with in the
guaranteed period shall be replaced free of cost.
As
a matter of fact, even after 4 years (till date) in the Industry
they have never shown any need for any servicing. But in case
of any damage, it can be repaired or serviced like any other Stainless
Steel Dairy equipment used in the dairy.
We don't believe in after sales service because our products are
too good to require any service..
