When a market
study of buyers for Stainless Steel tank were done , there seem
to be a concern amongst the majority that the stainless steel
tanks may heat up the water inside the tanks much more than other
tanks available
To investigate this matter, a month long continuous monitoring
of the temperature of water inside stainless steel, plastic and
galvanized steel tanks was done, exposing all the 3 tanks to direct
sunlight. Temperature measurements were done with the help of
data logger and PT-100 sensor. Temperature readings were taken
at 10.00 am, 2.00 PM and at 5.00 p.m., in April which is one of
the hottest months in Mumbai.
